The benchmarking tool that we use to improve the skills of our students….

ASSET
ASSET stands for Assessment of Scholastic Skills through Educational Testing. It is a scientifically designed, skill-based assessment test. Rather than testing rote learning, it uses multiple-choice questions to focus on measuring how well SKILLS and CONCEPTS underlying the school syllabus have been understood by the student. The test provides information on the strengths and weaknesses of individual students and also entire classes.
The benchmarking tool that we use to improve the skills of our students….

The IIS National Agenda Initiatives: ✓ Ensure that almost all students are registered and actively take part in the external benchmarking tests like ASSET and CAT4 ✓ Analyze the data received according to the requirements stated in the KHDA Supplementary ✓ Review the gaps and modify the curriculum to meet the content and skill requirements of TIMSS and PISA in mathematics and science ✓ Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the individual and different groups of students to alter teaching strategies and learning outcomes
The IIS National Agenda Initiatives: ✓ Innovation: Triangulation for the teaching/learning and assessment. ✓ Develop an internal assessments that focuses on the skill based questions (IISPSS – Indian International School Problem Solving Skills) ✓ Strengthen the use of higher blooms learning objectives to promote critical thinking and higher order thinking skills in lessons (DLP) ✓ Real life questions and problem solving are done across the grades and in all subject
The IIS National Agenda Initiatives: ✓ Train teachers through regular CPD to incorporate the PISA and TIMSS content and cognitive domain in daily lessons and notebook work (English, Mathematics, Science)
